The other pieces: ads, websites and the work around them

Social media is the weekly habit. These are the jobs that come up around it: paid ads, a proper website, and someone to keep that website looked after. Each one is quoted separately, so nothing gets added to your £200 without you agreeing to it.

How these fit

Separate work, quoted one job at a time

Plenty of clients start with the social plan and never need anything else. Others want their website sorted first, or their Google listing fixed. Both are fine.

We'd rather do one thing properly than sell you a bundle. If you ask about a website and what you actually need is three better photos and a working contact form, we'll say so.

Everything below can be done for an existing client or for a business that looks after its own social media. The plan and the projects are not tied together.

Not sure which one you need? Ask for a free page check, or message us on WhatsApp and we'll point you at the right job.

Three plain facts about projects

  • One fixed quote, in writing, before anything starts. If the job changes, we re-quote before we carry on.
  • You own what we build: the domain, the hosting account, the site files and the ad account. If you leave, it all stays with you.
  • We only take on work we can do well. If something is outside what we do, we'll say so.

The main jobs

What we take on

Three pieces of work, described plainly. All of them are quoted after a short brief rather than from a price list, because a five-page site and a fifty-page shop are not the same job.

Paid ads

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google ads, set up and run inside your own accounts, with the numbers explained in plain English.

  • The plan: who we're reaching, what we're saying and how much goes where.
  • The ads themselves: words and images made from your own photos, checked with you before they run.
  • Tracking set up properly, so you can see what a click or an enquiry actually cost.
  • A weekly look and a short monthly summary. No dashboard to learn.

Website design

A small site for a local business: clear about what you do, easy to contact, quick to load on a phone in a van.

  • A short brief, then a fixed quote and a date.
  • The pages that matter: what you do, who you are, where you are and how to get in touch.
  • Words drafted for you from your own material, edited by you, approved before anything goes live.
  • Checked on mobile, tablet and desktop, with a contact form that reaches you.
  • Handover with the logins in your name and a one-page guide to small changes.

Website care

For a site we built, or one you already have: someone to keep it working, up to date and quietly ticking along.

  • Updates and security patches applied, then checked.
  • Backups kept, with a copy of your site files held for you.
  • Small changes: a new price, new opening hours, a new photo, a seasonal offer.
  • A monthly note saying what changed and anything worth fixing.
  • A speed and mobile check each quarter.

Advertising budgets sit in your own ad account and are paid by you, directly to the platform. Our fee covers the planning and the work, and it is agreed in writing before a campaign goes live.

Smaller jobs

The shorter pieces of work

Not everything needs a project. Some of these are a morning's work, and we'll tell you when that's the case rather than stretching it out.

Google Business Profile

Claimed or verified, with the right categories, hours, service area and photos, plus a first post. This is the panel customers see before they call.

Local SEO basics

The simple things search engines read: page titles, headings, your location details and clear page names. No talk of algorithms, just tidy work.

An account tidy-up

Bios rewritten, covers and pinned posts refreshed, old access removed, and one page that clearly says what you do and where you do it.

Email and WhatsApp Business

A proper business profile, quick replies, a catalogue and an away message, so enquiries don't sit unanswered while you're on a job.

Ask about WhatsApp Business

How it works

Four steps, and you know the price before step three

  1. Tell us the job

A WhatsApp message, a short call or the free page check. We'll ask what isn't working and what you'd like instead.

  2. One quote, in writing

A fixed price, what's included, what isn't, and a date. No hourly surprises once the work has started.

  3. We do the work

You see it as it happens: a draft link for a website, ad words before they run, a note when a page is ready to review.

  4. Handover

Logins in your name, a short guide, and someone to ask if something looks wrong a month later.

What it costs

Quoted per job, not bundled

There's no price list on this page, and that's deliberate. A one-page site for a barber and a shop with forty products are not comparable, and a figure invented here would only mislead you.

Tell us what you need and you'll get one number in writing: what it covers, what it doesn't, and when it will be finished. If the number is wrong for you, nothing is owed for asking.

The £200 social plan is unchanged. None of this work raises it, and none of it is added quietly. If you'd rather stay on the plan and do nothing else, that's a perfectly good outcome.

How the money works

  • Social media management stays £200 a month, separately quoted projects do not change it.
  • Ads: our management fee is separate from the platform budget, which you pay directly in your own account.
  • Websites: one fixed price for design and build. Care, if you want it, is a monthly arrangement.
  • Every arrangement runs with 30 days' notice, the same as the plan, and the assets stay in your name.

While you're here

Small additions to the monthly plan

These sit alongside the £200 plan. Each is quoted before it starts, and each can be stopped at the end of a month.

A second boosted post

The plan already boosts at least one post every month. If you want a second one behind a launch or an offer, we'll quote the management time and agree the budget first.

An extra channel

A fifth channel (Pinterest, LinkedIn or YouTube Shorts, for instance), managed on the same rhythm as the others. Quoted per channel, per month.

Same-week posting

For a launch, a reopening or a seasonal push: extra posts turned around inside the week rather than in the usual rhythm.

Questions

The things people ask about the other work

Do I have to be on the £200 plan to get a website?

No. The plan and the project work are separate. We're happy to build a site for a business that looks after its own social media, and we're happy to run ads for one too.

Who owns the website, the domain and the ad account?

You do, every time. Domains, hosting, ad accounts and site files are set up in your name, and you keep the logins if we stop working together. We're added as a helper, never as the owner.

Do you write the words for the website?

Yes. We draft from a short conversation and whatever you already have (old leaflets, price lists, posts), then you edit until it sounds like you. Nothing goes live without your approval.

Can you run ads without managing my pages?

Yes. Ads usually work better when the page they point to is active, so we may suggest a small amount of posting alongside them, but it isn't a condition.

Will ads bring me more customers?

They can put your offer in front of more of the right people, but nobody can promise a number of enquiries or sales. We set a budget you're comfortable with, report what actually happened, and change what isn't working.

What happens to my site if I stop the care plan?

It keeps running. You keep the files, the hosting and the logins. Care is only the upkeep: updates, backups, small changes and checks.
