The short version

We collect only what we need to reply to you and to run your service. We don't sell data. We load no tracking or analytics by default, only if you accept. You can ask us to delete what we hold at any time.

1. Who we are

Steady Social is a trading name of Kampus_Digital Hub Solutions, a business registered in Nigeria (Registration No. BN 8263254), 25, James Watt Road, Off Mission Road, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, Kampus_Digital Hub Solutions is the data controller for the personal data described on this page. You can reach us about anything privacy-related at kampusdigitalsolutions@gmail.com or on WhatsApp.

We work from Nigeria and are not established in the UK, so we do not appoint a UK representative under Article 27 of the UK GDPR. We have assessed our processing against that article and consider the exemption applies: our enquiries are occasional, we do not process personal data on a large scale, and we do not knowingly handle special category data. If you are in the UK and have a question or complaint about your data, the email address and WhatsApp number above reach us directly, and we reply within one UK working day.

2. What we collect

When you send the free page check form: your first name, business name, business type, the Facebook or Instagram page you choose to share, your email address, your message, and the date you got in touch.

When you message us on WhatsApp or by email: your name, number or email address, and whatever you choose to tell us.

When you become a client: your business details, the platforms we manage, the photos and clips you send us, and records of what we posted. We never ask for or store your passwords.

When you browse: our hosting provider records standard technical information such as the pages requested, the time and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this to keep the site working and secure.

We do not knowingly collect any special category data (for example health information), and we don't ask for it. Please don't send it to us.

5. Who we share it with

We don't sell your data and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only as far as necessary:

  • our website hosting and form-handling provider, to receive your enquiry;
  • our email provider, to read and reply to messages;
  • WhatsApp and Meta, if you choose to message us there (their own privacy terms apply);
  • Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces on this site; this shares your IP address with Google;
  • accounting and payment providers, for invoicing;
  • a professional adviser or authority, if the law requires it.

If we ever need to share something else, we'll tell you first.

6. Where your data goes

Our team is based in Nigeria, which means personal data you send us may be stored and worked on outside the UK. We are open about this: it's the same team that answers your messages, not a third party.

When we transfer personal data out of the UK, we rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism and apply safeguards such as access controls and confidentiality obligations. Some of our service providers may also process data in other countries under their own safeguards.

If you'd like more detail about how your data is protected in transit and at rest, ask us and we'll explain in plain English.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that's wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete it, where there's no good reason for us to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict what we do with it;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • ask for your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where we relied on it.

To use any of these, email kampusdigitalsolutions@gmail.com. We'll reply within one month and won't charge you. We may ask a question or two to confirm who you are. That's to protect your data, not to put you off.

8. How to complain

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first; most things are quicker to fix directly.

You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

  • Website: ico.org.uk
  • Helpline: 0303 123 1113
  • Post: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF
